London, April 15 (QNA) - Goals from Yohan Cabaye and Christian Benteke helped Crystal Palace mount an impressive comeback to draw today 2-2 with Leicester City at Selhurst Park.
Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy had handed the reigning champions a two-goal lead and the side looked on their way to bounce back from the loss to Atletico Madrid. A resurgent Palace side had other plans as Cabaye responded almost instantly to Vardy's goal and Benteke earned a point for Sam Allardyce's team with 20 minutes remaining.
The two sides were in strong form coming into the match. Both sides had won five of their last six matches. Leicester notably defeated Liverpool on that run while Crystal Palace defeated leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Arsenal as well.
The result leaves Palace seven points clear of the relegation zone with six games remaining, while the Foxes are two points better off. Both sides seem safe for the season, although they might need a couple of wins to seal that. (QNA)
