Beijing, April 18 (QNA) - Three people died in a landslide that knocked down a residential building in Northwest China's Shaanxi province Monday, local authorities said Tuesday.
A woman and two children, a boy and a girl, were found dead in the debris at around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, the emergency rescue headquarters in Baihe County said in a statement carried by Xinhua news agency.
The building in the mountainous Maoping Township of Baihe County collapsed in the landslide at 11:58 a.m. Monday, according to the local government. Rainstorms pounded the area over the weekend. The seven-story building was home to 39 people from 11 families, and seven of them were trapped in the debris. (QNA)
