Turkish Forces Launch Security Operations Against PKK

Ankara, August 07 (QNA) - Turkish ministry of Interior announced today a new security operation against militants of Kurdistan Workers' Party PKK in the southeast of the country.

The ministry explained in a statement that the operation dubbed ARN Siege-31will be conducted in Mardin Province, southeast of the country, pointing out that such operation, in which 528 security elements are set to participate, comes within the framework of a series of security operations that are intended to eliminate PKK.

Turkish security forces had previously launched numerous security operations against PKK militants, including organizations affiliated with it, whether inside or outside the country, to protect the Turkish security against the attacks launched by PKK that target the civilian population and security forces.
