Doha, August 07 (QNA) - Palestinian Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh called for the international community and US administration's intervention to stop the Israeli aggression against Gaza strip and the incursions into the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque.
In his statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Nabil Abu Rudeineh stressed that the Israeli occupation has crossed all red lines by randomly shelling Gaza strip, which left substantial numbers of martyrs and casualties, in addition to causing major devastation to facilities, on top of the incursions carried out by a substantial number of Jewish extremist groups into the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards.
He clarified that the state of Palestine would use the international arena to escalate its protests against the persistent acts that target its people in Gaza strip and Jerusalem, pointing out that the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas continues his concerted efforts along with regional and international parties to halt the Israeli escalation that targets the Palestinian people, their Islamic and Christian sanctities.
He called on the UN Security Council, which is due to hold a special session to address the war on Gaza strip, to uphold its responsibility to halt the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, noting that the Israeli occupation is implementing its aggressive policies against the Palestinians without international oversight, in an outright and flagrant violation against all resolutions and international charters.
With regard to the incursions of settlers against Al Aqsa Mosque this morning, the Palestinian presidential spokesman told QNA that such provocative practices are integral part of constant attempts to alter the historic and legal status of Al Aqsa Mosque to trigger temporal division of the Mosque, confirming that the Palestinian people's resilience would definitely thwart this attempt similar to the multiple Israeli conspiracies that had been foiled by the Palestinians during the history of the conflict.
