Samarkand, June 05 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived Monday evening in the city of Samarkand on a state visit to the friendly Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of a tour of a number of Central Asian countries including the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
HH the Amir was welcomed at Samarkand International Airport by HE President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan Hassan bin Hamza Hashim, HE the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar Bahromjon Aloev, and members of the Qatari embassy were also present.
HH the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation. (QNA)
