Ouagadougou, June 12 (QNA) - Eleven army soldiers were killed in Burkina Faso following an armed attack in the northern Burkina Faso province of Seno.
The army said in a statement that the attack carried out by a large number of militants belonging to the extremist movements, and it took place at a security post in Seytenga, in the province of Seno, killing 11 soldiers. There were also a number of deaths among the militants.
The authorities in Burkina Faso announced last month that at least 50 civilians were killed, in an attack carried out by unknown gunmen in the east of the country.
Burkina Faso's army has been for years facing armed groups who always target farmers and shepherds. (QNA)
