Qatar News Agency Organizes Blood Donation Campaign

Doha, June 12 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) organized on Sunday a blood donation campaign for its employees in cooperation with the Blood Donation Center at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), coinciding with the World Blood Donor Day.
The campaign witnessed a huge turnout from QNA employees, who were keen to donate, as a contribution to strengthening the HMC blood bank stock, which constantly needs large quantities of blood from various types.
The donation process was carried out through the center's blood donation truck, which received the donors since the morning.
The world celebrates the World Blood Donor Day on June 14 annually. The event represents an opportunity to express thanks to voluntary blood donors without compensation in exchange for their blood given as a gift to save lives. Also, it raises the awareness of the need to continue to donate to ensure the quality of the quantities of donated blood and their level of availability and safety for patients who need them. (QNA)
