Saudi Arabia Lifts Precautionary Measures Related To Combating Covid-19 Pandemic

Riyadh, June 13 (QNA) - The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced today that it had lifted the precautionary measures related to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior as saying that, based on the follow-up and surveillance activities to the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the high proportion of vaccination and immunity against the virus in society, it was decided to pursue the cancellation of wearing a mask in enclosed spaces, with the exception of the Grand and the Prophets Mosques and the places in which a protocol is issued by the Public Health Authority, or the facilities, activities, occasions, events and public transportation that are willing to implement higher levels of protection by continuing to require the wearing of a mask as a prerequisite to enter such places, while continuing to raise awareness and admonish the public to use the mask.
The source added that it has been decided to not requiring vaccination and verification of health status in the application of "Tawakulna" to enter facilities, activities, events, events, boarding planes and public transportation, except for those whose nature requires vaccination, or continuing to verify health status as determined by the health protocols issued by the Public Health Authority.
