London, June 14 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Saint Helena Island, one of the British Overseas Territories, in South Atlantic Ocean.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 93 kilometers form Georgetown city, and at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey.
No material damages or human injuries were reported so far.
Saint Helena is a volcanic island, which makes it vulnerable to earthquakes. (QNA)
