Labor Minister, Jordanian Counterpart Review Aspects of Joint Cooperation in Labor Fields

Doha, June 14 (QNA) - HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met with HE Minister of Labor of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Nayef Zakaria Steitieh, who is currently visiting the country.
Stemming from the continuous follow-up to the agreement signed between the two countries in labor recruitment and the memorandum of understanding for technical cooperation between the two sides, the meeting was convened to discuss aspects of joint cooperation in labor-related issues, and ways to support and develop them.
During the meeting, the two ministers expressed their pride in the level of relations between the State of Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the confraternity between their two peoples, which were solidified by the wisdom of the leaderships of the two countries, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HM King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The two ministers discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of approving occupational standards and labor inspection within establishments and enhancing occupational health and safety tools to reach an exemplary work environment, in addition to exchanging expertise in the field of labor disputes and ways to resolve them.
They stressed the necessity of pooling the experiences between the two countries in developing mechanisms for regulating the labor market, benefiting from technological leap and providing skilled and trained labor in various fields from the young generations, and both genders. (QNA)
