Qatar Charity Launches Urgent Appeal For Relief In Somalia

Doha, June 14 (QNA) - Qatar Charity has launched an urgent response appeal to confront the new wave of drought, provide urgent relief aid and offer the essential requirements for those affected by the impact of the severe drought sweeping Somalia, and to contribute to saving the lives of more than half of its population who are vulnerable to risks.
In its relief intervention, Qatar Charity focuses on the vital areas represented in food (The value of the food basket is QR 395), non-food items, which include (mats and blankets among other things at a value of QR566), in addition to providing potable water (water tanks with a value of QR1,170). It is also possible to donate to the Somalia Relief Package worth QR2,131.
In addition, Qatar Charity urges philanthropists and benefactors in the State of Qatar to donate for the benefit of the people affected by drought and to contribute to saving the lives of these poor and needy people from the threat of hunger and malnutrition and alleviating their human suffering.
