Ramallah, June 14 (QNA) - The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced today the resumption of European Union aid to Palestine, after it has been suspended for nearly two years.
The president also announced the immediate disbursement of aid worth 25 million Euros to support food security in Palestine.
She explained that disbursing this aid is very critical to support the neediest categories, and help them face the current circumstances, especially in light of the war in Ukraine, whose repercussions have affected the countries of the region, including Palestine.
For his part, the Palestinian Prime Minister stressed the importance of the European Union resuming unconditional support, indicating that this aid will include various sectors of the infrastructure in the occupied West Bank, Gaza Strip, and occupied Jerusalem, as well as security and food. (QNA)
