Maputo, June 14 (QNA) - At least seven people were killed in a new wave of violence in northern Mozambique, while the United Nations announced that 10,000 people were forced to flee their homes.
The United Nations estimated that ten thousand people fled their homes during the past week with renewed violence and armed attacks in the gas-rich Cabo Delgado province.
To curb these armed attacks, about 3,100 soldiers from several African countries have been deployed in Cabo Delgado territory since June 2021, and have regained control of a large part of the territory. (QNA)
