Baghdad, June 15 (QNA) - The Iraqi Army announced today the killing of four ISIS militants during security operations that targeted them in the north of the country.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, clarified in statement that the Iraqi military forces managed to eliminate three elements from ISIS in Sirklan of Kirkuk governorate after striking them with a portable missile.
In addition, Major General Yahya Rasoul added that the military forces targeted ISIS hideout in Makhmour Mountains, Nineveh Governorate, which resulted in the killing of an ISIS member and the seizure of explosive materials in another security operation.
The Iraqi security official confirmed that the security and military forces are continuing their military operations to target ISIS cells hideouts, indicating that the full elimination of ISIS elements will be soon.
The pursuits of ISIS cells and remnants are part of a wide security operation launched by the Iraqi government more than two months ago in the governorates of Nineveh, Kirkuk, Diyala, Salah al-Din, Anbar and the outskirts of the capital, Baghdad, to completely eliminate the organization. (QNA)
