Doha, June 15 (QNA) - The University of Calgary in Qatar (UCQ) celebrated today the graduation of the Class of 2022, under the patronage of HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.
133 university students received a bachelor's degree in nursing, in the first graduation ceremony held by the university in presence across the country since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic.
The university also celebrated the 15th anniversary of its founding.
For his part, HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid Bin Jabor Al Thani, Founder and Chairman of UCQ Board of Trustees hailed the achievements made by the graduates throughout their academic trip, affirming that it was very essential for him to be among the graduates today to share their joy on this happy occasion, as it is a wonderful opportunity to remember the process of accomplishments that contributed to the growth and strengthening of the health care sector in Qatar.
The Dean of UCQ in Qatar Dr. Deborah White pointed out that the academic trip was not easy whether for the educational cadre or the students due to the fluctuations and difficult juncture witnessed worldwide. She hailed the firm commitment which everyone showed to attain this important station in the students' educational trip.
She expressed her confidence in the graduates and their valuable contribution to the healthcare field in the state of Qatar in the future. (QNA)
