Moscow, June 18 (QNA) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced today the shooting down of a Ukrainian Mi-24 fighter and 8 drones in different regions of Ukraine.
Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement to the press today that Russian air defense systems shot down a Su-25 plane near the village of Kamishevakh and a Mi-24 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Arkhangelsky region of Donetsk.
The spokesman added that the Russian air defense shot down 8 Ukrainian drones in the Kherson, Kharkov and Zaporozhye regions, in addition to 4 "Tochka-U" missiles and 24 "Uragan" launchers in one day.
Konashenkov stated that the Russian army destroyed, with high-precision ground and air missiles, Ukrainian technological facilities for oil refining and fuel storage facilities in Kremenchug and Lyzhchansk, intended for the supply of Ukrainian military equipment in Donbass.
The Russian military operation in Ukraine has been going on for more than three months, amid dwindling chances of reaching agreements and understandings between Moscow and Kiev to stop the confrontations that caused a wave of displacement that Europe has not experienced since World War II.(QNA)
