Doha, June 20 (QNA) - The Qatari-Omani Joint Committee concluded today its 21st meeting, which was held over two days.
The Qatari delegation was headed by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. whereas the Omani side was headed by HE Omani Minister of Finance Sultan Salim Al Habsi.
The Committee reviewed aspects of cooperation between both countries on various fronts that serve the joint interests, with a focus on economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
During the meeting, a number of mutual projects were reviewed. In addition, several proposals were discussed to enhance cooperation between both countries, such as encouraging mutual investments in the agricultural, energy, communication, transport, tourism, banking, and educational sectors.
On the sidelines of the joint committee meeting, HE Minister of Finance met his Omani counterpart to discuss a number of projects, as well as proposals to further strengthen the Qatar-Oman relations.
The first Qatari-Omani Committee meeting took place in April of 1995 in Doha. Since then, further meetings followed, held in one of the two countries alternately. (QNA)
