President of Sierra Leone Stresses Importance of Strengthening Trade, Investment Cooperation with Qatar

Doha, June 20 (QNA) - HE President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Julius Maada Bio praised the close relations between his country and Qatar, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields, especially those of trade and investment. His Excellency called on Qatari businessmen to invest in his country and to learn about the various economic opportunities available there.
This came during the meeting of HE President of the Republic of Sierra Leone with a delegation from the Qatar Chamber headed by First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari. They discussed ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and the role of the Qatari private sector in establishing alliances between Qatari and Sierra Leonean companies to serve the economies of both countries.
For his part, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari affirmed that the relations between Qatar and the Republic of Sierra Leone are strong and based on trust and mutual respect, expressing hope that bilateral trade between the two countries would achieve further development.
He pointed out that the great potentials in the fields of agriculture and mining in the Republic of Sierra Leone provide great opportunities for investment and open the way for the development of cooperation between Qatari and Sierra Leonean companies. This comes in light of the interest of Qatari business owners to learn about investment opportunities available in the African continent in general, and in Sierra Leone in particular.
Al Kuwari affirmed the Qatar Chamber's keenness to enhance cooperation between the private sector in both countries, as well as encouraging Qatari investors to invest in the Republic of Sierra Leone. (QNA)
