Kabul, June 20 (QNA) - The United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has called for an immediate cessation of attacks targeting civilians in Afghanistan.
In a statement on its Twitter account, the mission expressed its condemnation of the attack that took place today in a market in Nangarhar province, eastern Afghanistan, which resulted in multiple deaths and casualties.
UNAMA said that it condemns the attack that took place this morning in a crowded market in Nangarhar province, which killed and injured dozens of civilians, including some children.
The UN mission had announced earlier today that several people were killed and others wounded in an attack on a market in Nangarhar province, eastern Afghanistan. However, a government official in the region said that the intention of the attack was not clear, as no one has yet claimed responsibility for the accident. (QNA)
