Qatar's Participation in Cityscape Qatar 2022 Underlines Country's Urban Renaissance

Doha, June 20 (QNA) - Qatar's participation in the tenth edition of Cityscape Qatar 2022, currently held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, reflects the urban renaissance that the country is witnessing, especially with the completion of the most important major projects related to the organizing of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) observed, during its tour of the exhibition, the most important participations and projects presented by Qatari companies in this edition of Cityscape Qatar 2022, in addition to the participation of a number of Arab and foreign companies.
In her statement to QNA, Marketing and Communication Senior Office at Katara Hospitality Shoaa Ali Al Semaiti said that during this edition of the exhibition, Katara Hospitality seeks to introduce the Katara Towers, which represents two hotels "Fairmont Doha" - which contains 362 rooms and suites - and "Raffles", which contains 134 suites. The two hotels will be opened soon, making them two new local landmarks in the country that will constitute the first hospitality project to be built according to a design with a global sustainability assessment system.
She pointed out that the famous towers in Lusail City are an architectural interpretation of Qatar's national emblem as the two towers represent two traditional scimitar swords at a height of 30 meters. She added that Katara Hospitality will present the floating island project next year, as it will be in front of the Katara Towers in Lusail.
In his statement for QNA, the Head of Business Development Department at Qetaifan Projects - one of the companies owned by Katara Hospitality - Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani said that in this edition of the exhibition, the company will present a group of service plots to build residential villas on the shores of the Qetaifan Island North. The company will also present other projects centered around joint development agreements, in addition to the official opening of the commercial markets on the sea channel on Qetaifan Island North, and the launch of the new name for Qetaifan Island water park.
He explained that one of the main objectives of Qetaifan Projects is to provide a high standard of living, diversity, and sustainability for both residents and visitors of the island, as well as being part of the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
In a similar statement to QNA, Chief Projects Delivery Officer at Qatari Diar Eng. Fahad Abdullatif Al Jahrami said that Cityscape Qatar is an opportunity to present the company's achievements over the last year, the most important of which is the "Darb Al Saad" commercial avenue project, which extends over a distance of 1.3 km from Al Khor Coastal Road and ends in the Plaza Area or Lusail Square. He pointed out that this street completes the vision on which Lusail was built in terms of building residential and commercial units, as it contains 18 mixed-use buildings, an international hospital, and two hotels. He said that nearly 99 percent of the project has been completed, and is now in the final handover stage to the concerned authorities after the completion of the infrastructure works of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. 

Regarding Qatari Diar's new global projects, Chief Development and Asset Management Officer at Qatari Diar Yousef Abu Bakr Al Musleh revealed in a statement to QNA that the company currently has major projects in several countries; including the Chelsea Barracks project, and the Grosvenor House project, which is a development of the former US embassy building in London, turning it into a world-class hotel, in addition to a project in the United States of America, in Washington DC and New York City. Furthermore, Qatari Diar is currently implementing the huge "City Gate" project in New Cairo - Egypt, which is an integrated city built on an area of approximately 8.5 million square meters. Al Musleh noted that Qatari Diar has projects in 22 countries.
In addition, the Sales Engineer at the Qatari company Buzwair Advanced Technologies, Ninar Maatouk stated that the company is presenting two projects during its participation in Cityscape Qatar 2022. The first is an innovative smart key management solution, for companies that require the possession of a large number of keys. He added that the innovation consists of an electronic panel, with a key-tracking phone application, which enhances the efficiency of the staff. The second is a fire alarm project that includes a technology that sends signals to fire alarm devices wirelessly and instantaneously. Moreover, it offers a fire alarms emergency service. Not to mention several vandal-proof and tamper-proof features.
Several major real-estate companies from outside of Qatar are participating in the exhibition to showcase their latest projects, including International Investment from the United Kingdom. The company's Sales representative Mohammad Al Fares said in his statement to QNA that this is the company's fifth participation in a row in the Cityscape Qatar exhibition. He added that this year's participation shows the importance of real estate investment in the UK as one of the most stable investments worldwide. Moreover, a group of real-estate and investment projects will be presented, including projects with an annual return system, as well as the participation of real-estate developers who help in marketing the projects of the British company, he added.
Moreover, ten real-estate companies participated in the exhibition from Turkey. director of "timiltaz" company Derya Yilmaz, told QNA, that they are participating for the fourth time in the exhibition, and they are happy to be present in the Qatari market, which is one of the important markets to them. She added that her company is presenting a number of its new projects; including the Istanbul Valley a project located in the heart of Istanbul which includes a range of options, whether residential or commercial. She also pointed out that the projects in Turkey rely on smart systems in the management of apartments and buildings.
A group of Egyptian companies is also attending this edition of the exhibition. Mohamed Ashry, the representative of Menassat Developments, told QNA that his company is participating for the first time in Cityscape Qatar and that it is keen to present to the public its most important projects in the Administrative Capital and the Fifth Settlement district, noting that among the new projects are a medical, commercial, and administrative tower in the Administrative Capital, as well as a commercial mall project in the Fifth Settlement district.
For his part, Marwan Fouad from Amazon Development said that the company is presenting for its first time at the exhibition, a presentation on a new project in the New Administrative Capital, located in front of Iconic Tower, the highest tower in the Administrative Capital, where it will rise 52 floors, in its first phase, in addition to several other projects in Egypt or abroad.
