Kyiv, June 21 (QNA) - Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov announced today that his country has received Germany's self-propelled howitzers n the first promised shipment of heavy weapons since the start of the war in Ukraine on Feb. 24th.
In a statement today, Reznikov stressed that the arrival of self-propelled howitzers to his country reflects international support for Ukraine during the conditions it is going through.
Howitzers are one of the most powerful artillery weapons in the German army's stocks and can hit targets up to 40 kilometers away.
Germany pledged last May to supply Kyiv with seven self-propelled howitzers, in addition to five of the same artillery systems that the Netherlands promised to provide.
