Kabul, June 22 (QNA) - At least 255 people were killed and 500 others injured after a magnitude earthquake hit eastern Afghanistan early Wednesday.
The majority of confirmed fatalities so far have emerged from the eastern province of Paktika.
The quake damaged dozens of houses in the region and also caused landslides in Paktika.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck eastern Afghanistan, 45 km southwest of the Afghan province of Khost. (QNA)
