QFCA and Digital Poland Foundation Sign MoU on Cooperation in Digital Sector

Doha, August 02 (QNA) - Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Digital Poland Foundation to boost joint cooperation in the field of digital sector and accelerate the innovation of new technologies.
Pursuant to this MoU, the two sides are poised to develop and execute various initiatives, such as webinars, networking events, B2B meetings and other engagements, to stimulate activities in both countries digital ecosystems. Digital Poland Foundation and QFC also commit to sharing relevant business opportunities in their markets, exchanging industry information, facilitating introductions of relevant organizations, and cross promoting their respective activities and events on social media and digital platforms.
The MoU is considered the first step of QFCA in the pursuit of establishing long-term cooperation with the Polish institutions, as the signing of this memorandum comes in a time the Qatari-Polish bilateral relations have recently witnessed a robust development in a wide range of fields that would essentially help in expediting the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the technological sphere, in addition to sharing the perspectives and experiences.
CEO of QFCA Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida deemed the joint MoU as a vital step towards developing the digital sector in the state of Qatar and expand its experiences in the digital technology field, as the memorandum would primarily open new prospects of boosting the joint cooperation with the Republic of Poland since this partnership is the first of its kind for QFCA to be signed with a Polish enterprise.
For his part, Managing Director, Digital Poland Foundation Piotr Mieczkowski said that the partnership will potentially enable QFCA to further convince the global start-up companies to come to Poland and expand their business to tap other global markets such as Qatar, it will likewise offer great opportunities to share experiences and information about the business system in the field of technological sector both in Qatar and Poland.
QFCA is considered a prominent platform that offers the registered enterprises the merits of numerous competitiveness, such as the right of foreign ownership of up to %100, the possibility of transferring all profits abroad, a corporate tax of no more than %10 on domestic profits, and operating within the framework of a network that subjects to an extended double tax agreement that includes more than 80 countries.
