Civil Service Bureau, QRDI Sign MoU

Doha, September 07 (QNA) - The Civil Service and Governmental Development Bureau today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council (QRDI), establishing cooperation in research, development and innovation-related fields.
The MoU was signed by Director of the Training Department at the Civil Service Bureau Alanoud Allenqawi and Director of the QRDI's Research, Development and Innovation Programs Department Nada Al-Awlaki.
The MoU aims to promote and develop joint work in the field of research, development and innovation, and cooperation to prepare and develop initiatives and programs to activate this in all government agencies in order to build a knowledge-based national economy as targeted in Qatar National Vision 2030.
Under this MoU, the two parties will cooperate in the areas of exchanging experiences, providing studies, consultations and developing plans related to innovation and government development in order to improve performance and reach new levels of excellence in government innovation.
The MoU also identifies the preparation of training programs to refine a selection of innovation work teams in government agencies and develop the capabilities of innovation projects management in cooperation with various sectors, and cooperation in other areas that fall in the framework of the Qatar research, Development and Innovation Strategy 2030.
Allenqawi said that this memorandum strengthens efforts to find a joint working mechanism for cooperation in the field of research, development and innovation and highlights the continuous efforts of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau in providing appropriate policies and strategies to improve government development at the level of all government agencies, which improves the provision of high-level government services.
For her part, Nada Al-Awlaki expressed pleasure to sign this agreement with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, which contributes to providing a collaborative framework between the two entities in order to enhance efforts to build innovation capabilities and promote a culture of innovation in various government entities.
She confirmed that the QRDI is looking forward to driving the future growth of Qatar by creating an integrated and dynamic system in the field of research, development and innovation, stressing that this partnership will contribute to training and equipping employees in various institutions and bodies to be pioneers of innovation in their organizations, and enable them to build partnerships with the private sector to create new and innovative work methods and obtain the best advanced technological solutions and thus bring transformative and sustainable changes in the government sector.
The first fruits of this MoU is the launch of the Government Innovation Leaders program, which will be held next Sunday, hosted by QRDI with a wide participation of government officials and a group of local and international government innovation and development experts.(QNA)
