Qatar Stock Exchange Index Begins Trading in Green Zone

Doha, September 15 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange index rose at the beginning of Thursday's trading by 98.52 points, or 0.75 percent, reaching the level of 13170 points compared to the end of Wednesday's trading.
Various sectors contributed to the positive performance of the general index, led by the telecommunications sector with a growth of 1.23 percent, bank and financial services sector by 1.10 percent, followed by the real estate sector with a growth of 0.72 percent, the industrial sector by 0.61 percent and the insurance sector by 0.06 percent. The consumer goods and services sector decreased by 0.17 percent and the transport sector by 0.41 percent.
Qatar Stock Exchange recorded, at 10:00 am, transactions worth QR 50.066 million, distributed among 17.564 million shares, with the implementation of 2008 transactions. (QNA)
