Ministry of Education Holds Meetings, Workshops to Introduce Categories of Scientific Excellence Award

Doha, September 15 (QNA) - In its 16th edition at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the organizing committee for the scientific excellence award has held a series of meetings and training workshops to introduce the criteria of the award for the elementary, preparatory and secondary school students, including the distinctive school, teacher and distinguished scientific research.
The chairmen of the committees conducted presentations and provided ample explanations pertaining to the preconditions of the subscription and applications for nominations in this award, including the competition and evaluation criteria for each category and the importance of adhering to these criteria, as the award includes academic excellence award for university graduates, master degree and Ph.D holders.
The Ministry had already announced in a press conference last Monday, the launch of the 16th edition of the award and its various phases until the anticipated honoring ceremony for the winners scheduled in early next March preceded by activities and events, including holding a special exhibition for the award during February 1 to March 10, 2023, also the ministry announced the change that was made on some criteria with the objective of upgrading them further which included primary, secondary, and distinguished school, as well as designating office times to be specified later on in order to offer the opportunity for each student or subscriber who seeks excellence and apply for the award to enquire about further information pertaining to this award and everything relevant to it.
The scientific award is one of the pillars of the educational system in the State of Qatar and represents one of the tracks that promotes innovation for the students and educational institutions, specially that it aims to deepen excellence and innovation concepts through pursuing global standards in this regard, implement awareness programs, achieve the integration of individual and institutional efforts to further optimize the outputs of the scientific process in Qatar, appreciate and honor the Qatari scientific excels and deepen the excellence concepts, encourage the entire individuals and educational institutions to upgrade their performance, enhance the positive orientations toward knowledge and scientific research, promote the spirit of innovation among students, researchers and educational institutions, raise the spirit of competition among individuals and educational institutions in the field of scientific excellence, and orient the individual and institutional energies towards scientific excellence in the areas that serve the achievement of the state's developmental orientations.
