Ankara, September 16 (QNA) -The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced today that 5 new ships loaded with grain have left the ports of Ukraine, within the framework of the "foodstuff deal".
The ministry said in a statement that grain shipments continue as planned, and this morning 5 other ships loaded with grain left Ukrainian ports.
Last July 22, the "Initiative Document for the Safe Shipping of Grain and Foodstuffs from Ukrainian Ports" between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations, was signed in Istanbul.
The agreement included securing exports of grain stuck in the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea in Eastern Europe to the world, to mitigate the global food shortage crisis, which could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe. (QNA)
