Minister of Labor Meets ALO Director-General, Egyptian and Lebanese Counterparts

Cairo, September 18 (QNA) - HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met on Sunday with HE Director-General of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) Fayez Ali Al Mutairi, on the sidelines of the 48th session of the Arab Labor Conference, currently being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Arab Labor Organization to serve the issues of the Labor sector in the Arab states, and the importance of strengthening coordination between the three Labor parties (employees, employers and governments) to overcome the challenges facing the Arab labor environment.
HE the Minister of Labor highlighted the need to strengthen joint Arab action in addition to supporting Palestinian workers in the occupied territories and improving their living conditions.
On the other hand, HE the Minister of Labor met with HE Minister of Manpower of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hassan Shehata.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially on issues related to labor, and ways to enhance and develop them.
HE the Minister of Labor also met with HE Minister of Labor of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Mustafa Hussein Bayram.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of the labor, as well as the ways for enhancing and developing them during the forthcoming period. (QNA)
