Jordanian Minister of Labor: Qatari Job Platform Provided 9,100 Job Opportunities for Jordanians

Doha, September 19 (QNA) - HE the Jordanian Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh revealed that the grant of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani provided 9,100 jobs for Jordanians in the Qatari labor market, indicating that this grant was reactivated at the beginning of this year, and aims to provide Jordanians with 20,000 job opportunities, in two phases.
In a press statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Jordanian Minister of Labor said that there are 2,400 Jordanians have obtained job opportunities in the Qatari labor market within the framework of the job allocation grant during the current year, stressing that this opens new horizons for the Jordanian workforce and talents to work in the Qatari market, which is distinguished with its job security. His Excellency appreciated the State of Qatar's efforts in attracting Jordanian talents from various domains and specializations.
Moreover, Steitieh stressed that these jobs have attracted many Jordanian talents across many fields and professions, be it in nursing, vehicle maintenance, or the service sector, among others, noting that work is underway in Jordan to study and analyze the required skills and future needs of the State of Qatar; to qualify the Jordanian workforce to be further integrated into the Qatari labor market.
In addition, HE the Jordanian Minister of Labor pointed out that the platform dedicated to attracting Jordanian workers to the State of Qatar is an important and appreciated initiative from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in light of the brotherly and deep relations between the two countries. Steitieh hoped for the continuity of this agreement on the widest scale, due to the importance of the Qatari market for Jordan.
At the end of his statement to QNA, Steitieh praised the role of the Qatari embassy in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in facilitating the paperwork and visa application process, for Jordanians applying to work in Qatar.
The Qatari jobs platform launched in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is keen to attract Jordanian competencies wishing to work in the State of Qatar within a 20,000 job vacancies window, and in two phases: the first phase consists of candidates submitting their job applications on the online platform https://sajjil.gov.jo followed by the second phase in which successful applicants will be selected by Qatar-based companies and the private sector, in partnership with the Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
