Qatar Chairs Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence at 48th ALC Session

Cairo, September 20 (QNA) - The State of Qatar chaired today the "Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence and New Work Patterns" in the 48th session of the Arab Labor Conference (ALC), which is being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The committee was chaired, on behalf of the State of Qatar, by Mahmoud Abdullah Al Siddiqi, representative of the Ministry of Labor in the permanent delegation of the State of Qatar in Geneva.
The selection of the State of Qatar to chair the committee came in light of the successful experiences it has adopted in the field of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, which has brought about a qualitative leap and a great development in the work environment.
In addition to the State of Qatar's chairing the technical committee on artificial intelligence and new work patterns, the delegation of the Ministry of Labor continued its participation today in meetings of the Arab Labor Conference committees, which included the Finance and Governance committees. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Al Mohannadi, a consultant at the office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs at the Ministry, was selected as Vice-Chairman of the Membership Accreditation Committee.
The Committee for the Implementation of Arab Labor Agreements and Recommendations, praised, during its meeting today, the Domestic Workers Law in the State of Qatar, for the comprehensive protection it provides for domestic workers.
The 48th session of the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo started on September 18, with the participation of a delegation from the State of Qatar, including representatives from the Ministry of Labor, Qatar Chamber, and Qatar Energy Company. (QNA)
