Katara Hosts Cultural and Artistic Events for Uzbekistan Next Week

Doha, September 21 (QNA) - The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Qatar, will organize cultural events on Sep. 24 and 25, 2022 on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
The events include the Arts and Crafts Fair of Uzbekistan, which will be held on Sep. 24 in Building 47, Hall 1 and 2, and the exhibition will continue until Oct. 5.
The exhibition will include applied art products in areas such as wood carving, miniatures, gold and jewelry embroidery, national costumes, and ceramics.
In addition to the concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan on Sep. 24 and 25, at 7:30 pm, at Katara Opera House. Concert programs include national and Uzbek classics, excerpts from opera, as well as contemporary music.
These events aim to introduce the modern musical art of Uzbekistan, which has preserved the national traditions. The original artistic culture of Uzbekistan has been formed over the centuries and is distinguished by its exceptional, original and lively character among other cultures of the East.
The culture of Uzbekistan has developed from the fusion of the most diverse traditions of many peoples, which are reflected in folk music, painting, applied arts and national clothing. (QNA)
