Mexico City, September 22 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale struck the state of Michoacan, western Mexico on Thursday.
According to the Mexican National Seismological Service (SSN), the quake occurred 84 km from the state's Coalcoman region, at a depth of 12 km.
There have been no reports of material or human damage caused by the earthquake so far.
On Sep.19, an earthquake of 7.6-magnitude struck near the coast of the borders between Michoacan and Colima, at a depth of about 15 kilometers.
The last strong earthquake in Mexico was in September 2017. The earthquake hit the capital, Mexico City, and the neighboring states of Murillo and Puebla, killing 370 people. (QNA)
