Qatari Cultural Days Evenings Within Irbid-Arab Capital of Culture 2022 Wrap Up in Amman

Amman, September 22 (QNA) - Qatari cultural evening days that were held in Jordan within the events of Irbid-Arab Capital of Culture 2022 wrapped up with a discussion symposium attended by Director General of the Department of the National Library of Jordan Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad Al-Ayasra and president of Jordanian Writers Association Poet Akram AL Zoubi, including a wide range of those interested in poetry.
The symposium addressed the inception and evolution of the literary movements in Qatar ranging from story literature, theatre and novel, the prominent trends and literary publications issued by the State of Qatar, as well as the most important Qatari cultural awards, it also talked about the Qatari novel, its evolutionary phases, relations with media and the extend of handling the cultural topics in the Qatari media.
For his part, Qatari writer and academic Dr. Ahmed Abdul Malik emphasized, during the symposium, that article is the first signs of Qatari literature, followed by the short story, then the novel, followed by poetry, theater, followed by the Qatari song, which was present on national occasions, adding that the Qatari new generation which reviewed the global cultures had contributed to the Qatari novel, explaining that some modern novels were published for writers who did not write the story.
In his remark during the symposium, head of the Qatari delegation Jamal Fayez Al-Saeed said that the Qatari participation has been concrete since the launch of Irbid-Arab Capital of Culture 2022 celebrations, affirming that the Jordanian-Qatari cultural relations are not spur of the moment, clarifying that such participation comes as culmination of the close ties between the two friendly countries.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) the Jordanian writer Hazza Al Barari said that the Qatari evening formed a new addition to the cultural scene in Irbid, hailing the excellent Qatari attendance in the celebratory events of the city. (QNA)
