Doha, November 06 (QNA) - The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has launched the program of national policies for shelters and national standards for social work with the objective of optimizing the quality of services offered to the targeted categories, promoting the human welfare and fulfilling the fundamental humanitarian needs.
The program coincides with the phase of the implementation of the project of building a supervisory program in the social work institutions at MSDF that was launched in cooperation with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies to qualify the targeted categories to undertake the supervisory role on the specialists crews operating in the field of social service in their work sites.
For his part, the head of the projects committee at MSDF Ghanem Salah Ghanem Al-Maadeed, pointed out that MSDF places great importance on the development of natural resources through training and developing the capabilities of those who are operating in the area of social development with the aim of preparing and supplying them with new skills and abilities to further help them discharge their duties and responsibilities more adequately to achieve MSDF's goals.
He stressed on the importance of MSDF's role in fulfilling the needs of the social centers through providing the workers with the latest expertise, knowledge and behaviors, noting that MSDF has provided public services that require the development of individuals to achieve the strategic goals in this aspect.
For her part, the Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Dr. Amal Ghazal commended the social work which is considered one of the core professions that seeks to promote the life quality of human and community and achieve the social justice, adding that the supervision program will contribute to supporting the abilities of the social specialists to ensure preserve the quality of social services in the State of Qatar and the professional performance with best level via research-informed plans to address the health and welfare of individuals and families.
In addition, the project will be implemented in three phases through assessing the needs of the concerned institution, because of the existence of a supervisory system through determining the type of supervision offered by the institution, as well as determining the investment fields and ways to facilitate methodically the supervision process.
