Glasgow Airport Locked Down after Detection of Suspicious Package

London, December 05 (QNA) - British authorities locked down Glasgow Airport in Scotland after they had received information about a suspicious package.

In a statement, the Scottish authorities said that the passengers registration area was evacuated and the passengers were whisked to the parking lots after the authorities had locked down the passengers' building, pointing out that the airport authorities are coordinating with the police to discuss the developments of the situation.

In a separate statement, the police stated that its elements, along with the emergency service currently respond to a continuous incident in Glasgow Airport, adding that the passengers' building was closed as a precautionary measure, while media said that bomb disposal units in the navy force were summoned to handle the suspicious package.
