28th Qatar World Table Tennis Championship Starts Sunday

Doha, January 14 (QNA) - The 28th edition of the Qatar World Table Tennis championship will kick off at Lusail Hall on Sunday, and will continue until January 30.

The tournament includes three international tournaments: Contender, Feeder, and Youth Contender. Top male and female seeders and world champions will take part in the championship.

The tournament will start tomorrow with the Contender competitions from Jan. 15 to 21, with the participation of 190 players representing 40 countries, 112 men and 78 women. 13 players from the Qatari national team will participate It will be followed by the Feeder tournament from Jan. 22 to 26, with the participation of 130 players from 30 countries. 12 players from the Qatari national team will participate.

The Youth Contender tournament will be staged from Jan. 27 to 30, with the participation of 88 players from 21 countries. 20 players from the Qatari national team will take part.

The Organizing Committee of the Qatar World Table Tennis championship, headed by Khalil Al Mohannadi, has completed all preparations to host the 28th edition of the tournament in a best way. (QNA)
