Palestinian Foreign Ministry Calls on UN Security Council to Apply International Law

  • Palestine

Ramallah, January 15 (QNA) - Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the UN Security Council to exert a real effort to apply the principle of the supremacy of international law on the case of Palestine.

The ministry also called for activating the international sanctions system regarding the violations and crimes perpetrated by the occupation and those who are behind them, in addition to practicing real pressure on the Israeli government to halt the execution of its colonial and racist policy.

In a statement on Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined that the application of the principle of sovereignty and international law is an integrated process that can not be partitioned or selectively applied.

It condemned the current escalation of the occupation's aggression against the people, their land, property, homes and sacred places, including the escalation of assaults on the Palestinian citizens by the settlers' gangs in an Israeli open war that aims to entirely close the door in front of any opportunity to embody the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
