QSE Edges Up at Beginning of Today's Trading

Doha, January 16 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange index rose slightly at the beginning of Monday's trading, up 3.44 points, or 0.03%, at 10964 points, compared to yesterday's closing.
Data issued by Qatar Stock Exchange indicated that the telecommunications sector increased by 1.42%, the banking and financial services sector and the industries sector increased by 0.15, and the transportation sector by 0.05%. In contrast, the insurance sector decreased by 0.16%, the real estate sector by 0.25%, and the consumer goods and services by 0.56%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded QR 71.292 million transactions, distributed to 24,136 shares, implemented by 2,259 transactions. (QNA)
