Doha, January 17 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture, represented by the Department of Heritage and Identity, will participate in the activities of the 13th session of the Sharjah International Traditional Crafts Forum (SITCF), which starts Wednesday, with the participation of 17 Arab and foreign countries.
The activities of the forum will continue for two days under the slogan 'Carpet and Textile'.
Head of the Heritage Department in the Department of Heritage and Identity, Abdulaziz Al Mutawa, said the State of Qatar is participating in the forum to present its experience in preserving and developing traditional Bedouin Al Sadu weavings, adding that some Al Sadu pieces and heritage books issued by the Ministry will go on display during the forum.
The forum contributes to enhancing awareness of the Gulf, Arab and international heritage by educating people about various elements and components of heritage and working to preserve them in their minds, Al Mutawa said. (QNA)
