Iraq's Prime Minister Urges Fans to Adhere to Regulations of "Gulf 25" Final

Basra, January 19 (QNA) - Iraq's Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al Sudani urged the fans to provide assistant to the security forces and the concerned authorities for the success of the Arab Gulf Cup final "Gulf 25" scheduled later today.

Iraqi Council of Ministers said in its statement that Al Sudani arrived in Basra Governorate and held an urgent meeting with several ministers and the Governor of Basra to discuss the preparations for the 25th Gulf Cup Final.

In a tweet, Al-Sudani called on Iraqi citizens, people in Basra to be keen to show the high patriotic spirit, and provide assistance and support to all your brothers in the concerned authorities to show the final of the Gulf Cup 25th in the most beautiful way.

In turn, the spokesman for the Iraqi commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces Major General Yahya Rasool urged the fans to adhere to the regulations of the "Gulf 25" Final.

Iraqi authorities announced earlier today that one person was killed and 60 other injured in a stampede hours before the final match of the Gulf Cup between Iraq and Oman.
