Nuku'alofa, January 22 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tonga on Sunday.
The quake occurred 150 kilometers northeast of the capital Nuku'alofa at a depth of 10 kilometers, the US Geological Survey reported.
There have been no reports of human loss or material damage as a result of the earthquake. No tsunami warning has been issued.
Tonga is an archipelago of 176 islands, 52 of them are inhabited. The islands scattered across an area of the central Pacific Ocean to the east of Fiji. (QNA)
