Qatar Stock Exchange Rises 0.83% at Beginning of Trading

Doha, January 22 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange index rose 90.21 points at the beginning of Sunday's trading, or 0.83 percent, reaching 10900 points, compared to Thursday's trading.
Data issued by Qatar Stock Exchange indicated that the index rose, supported by three sectors; the industrial sector rose by 1.17 percent, the real estate sector by 1.06 percent and the insurance sector by 0.11 percent. On the other hand, the transport sector decreased by 0.05 percent, the telecommunications sector by 0.18 percent, the consumer goods and services by 0.54 percent and the banking and financial services sector by 1.63 percent.
At 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 86.359 million, distributed among 28,273 shares, implemented by 2671 transactions. (QNA)
