Algiers, January 25 (QNA) - Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra discussed with High Representative of the European Union For Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, during a phone call held on Wednesday, cooperation relations between the two sides.
Aspects of enhancing partnership between Algeria and the European Union in various fields were reviewed during the phone call, in addition to discussing regional issues of joint interest, especially situations in Sahel and Sahara region as well as in the Middle East.
This phone call comes at a time when Algerian-European relations are gaining momentum on the economic level, after Algeria has consolidated its position as the second largest supplier of gas through pipelines to Europe, superior to Russia, whose imports have declined significantly over the past months in light of the political tensions following its military operation in Ukraine.
