Algerian Minister of National Solidarity Says Qatar is Leading in Social Development

Doha, January 25 (QNA) - HE Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Issues in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Kawthar Kriko commended the progress Qatar has made in the field of social development to become a leading country in this area.
In remarks she gave to QNA on the margin of her participation in the High-Level Event session of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which was held today, Her Excellency said: "During mutual visits and bilateral meetings, I learned about the State of Qatar's outstanding experience of in the field of social development, as well as the initiatives it is implementing in the field of promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, which enriches and enhances Arab experiences in this field".
She stressed that Algeria is keen to work with the State of Qatar in order to cement bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of social development through the exchange of experiences in the field of economic empowerment of women and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities, within the framework of the two countries' historical and deep fraternal relations and solid cooperation in various fields.
HE Kawthar Kriko also referred to Algeria's experience in the field of social development, especially in terms of empowering women, protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and supporting their involvement in the economic and other areas related to social affairs, stressing that her country has many national initiatives in this regard.
Her Excellency underlined the importance of the High-Level Event session of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, pointing out that it reflects the all Arab countries keenness on activating and strengthening social work in a way that contributes to realising the social and economic well-being of the nations of the region.
