Arab League's Assistant Secretary General to QNA: Meeting Highlights Issues Facing Persons with Disabilities

Doha, January 25 (QNA) - HE Arab League's Assistant Secretary General and head of social affairs sector Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh confirmed that the works of the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs discussed today a high-level event under the theme: the rights of persons with disabilities and multidimensional poverty, in the presence of Arab Ministers of Social Development Affairs and relevant international organizations to address and shed light on these issues.
In a special statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the Ambassador stated that today's sessions highlighted the burdens faced by persons with disabilities at all levels and fields, whether they are related to their working conditions or their health or economic life, in addition to launching the Multidimensional Poverty Report, which is of great importance.
Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the Arab League pledged to support the State of Qatar in its new mission represented by chairing the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, appreciating the good organization for the 42nd session of this important occasion.
