Al Gharafa Named Champion of Senior Handball Federation Cup

Doha, February 01 (QNA) - Al Gharafa crowned winner of the Senior Handball Federation Cup Championship title for the 2022 - 2023 sports season after defeating Al Wakrah 25 - 21 in the final match today at Al Duhail Sports Hall.
Assistant Secretary of the Qatar Handball Association, Khalifa Tayseer Al Jassim, crowned Al Gharafa with the championship cup and gold medals, and Al Wakrah with silver medals.
Al Rayyan finished third after defeating Al Shamal 24 - 20 in the match to determine the third and fourth places.
The Federation Cup was held without the international players for their participation with the first Qatari national team in the 28th World Men's Championship to be hosted by Poland and Sweden which concluded Jan. 29. (QNA)
