Kuwait, December 15 (QNA) - The Asian Handball Confederation has assigned Qatar to host the men's Asian qualifiers for the 33rd Summer Olympics (Paris 2024), during the period from Oct. 18 to Oct. 28 of next year 2023.
This will be the third consecutive time for Qatar to host the Asian handball qualifiers for the Olympic Games, after it hosted in 2015 the Olympic qualifiers for (Rio 2016), where the Qatari handball team qualified for the Olympic Games for the first, and in 2019 the Olympic qualifiers for (Tokyo 2020).
One team from these qualifiers will advance for the Paris 2024 Olympics, while the runner ups will play in the play-offs.
The Asian Handball Federation also assigned Japan to host the Asian women's qualifiers for the upcoming Olympic Games.
