Turkish President Announces New Cabinet Formation

Ankara, June 03 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced this evening the formation of his new cabinet.

The announcement of the new cabinet formation comes hours after Erdogan was sworn in as President of Turkiye for a new term, after winning the presidential election runoff, that took place on Sunday.

At a press conference in Ankara, Erdogan announced that the cabinet formation included a vice president and 16 ministers. Cevdet Yilmaz was chosen as Vice President.

As for the cabinet, it is as follows: 1. Justice Minister: Yilmaz Tunc 2. Family and Social Services Minister: Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas 3. Labor and Social Security Minister: Vedat Isikhan 4. Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Minister: Mehmet Ozhaseki 5. Foreign Minister: Hakan Fidan 6. Energy and Natural Resources Minister: Alparslan Bayraktar 7. Youth and Sports Minister: Osman Askin Bak 8. Treasury and Finance Minister: Mehmet Simsek 9. Interior Minister: Ali Yerlikaya 10. Culture and Tourism Minister: Mehmet Nuri Ersoy 11. National Education Minister: Yusuf Tekin 12. National Defense Minister: Yasar Guler 13. Health Minister: Fahrettin Koca 14. Industry and Technology Minister: Mehmet Fatih Kacir 15. Agriculture and Forestry Minister: Ibrahim Yumakli 16. Trade Minister: Omer Bolat 17. Transport and Infrastructure Minister: Abdulkadir Uraloglu The Turkish President said during the press conference that Turkiye has completed yet another electoral process that strengthens the country's democracy, expressing his hope that these elections would benefit Turkiye and the Turkish people.
Erdogan noted that Turkiye did not only hold elections on May 14 and 28, rather it chose the road map for the next century, adding that the people also held tight to their independence, future, and will.

He added that Turkiye today is stronger than yesterday. Turkish democracy is stronger than ever, and the future of Turkiye is brighter than it was before May 28, he said. (QNA)
