Arab Parliament Hails Outcomes of 44th Session of GCC Summit in Doha, Its Full Support for Rights of Palestinian People

Cairo, December 05 (QNA) - The Arab Parliament praised the outcomes of the 44th session of the GCC Supreme Council held in Doha on Tuesday and the dedicated efforts exerted by the State of Qatar for the success of this event.
In a statement on Tuesday, HE President of the Arab Parliament Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi hailed the Doha declaration issued by the summit, pointing out that the summit comes considering the rapid regional and international evolutions and the unprecedented tragic situation facing the Palestinian people, especially Gaza people created by the Israeli occupation.
The Doha declaration underscored the rights of the Palestinian people and ending the war on the Gaza Strip, along with the steadfast support for the Palestinian people to alleviate the suffering of the Gaza population, extended the hand of help to reconstruct what was devastated by the Israeli war machine during its assaults on the strip, Al Asoomi noted, affirming the critical role of the joint mediation of the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt which yielded a humanitarian pause deal in Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the outcomes of the summit are complementary to those of the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Nov.11, 2023, along with the efforts of the ministerial committee the summit formed to crystalize an international action to stop the war on Gaza and step up pressure to launch a serious and real political process that achieves the comprehensive and enduring peace based on the accredited international references.
In addition, the President of the Arab Parliament lauded the growing role of GCC supported by Their Majesties and Highnesses leaders of GCC in addressing the political, security and economic challenges in the region and standing together to face any potential challenges or threats that might face GCC states, along with its role in bolstering the joint Gulf action.
He expressed his utmost appreciation for the unwavering positions of GCC towards the Palestinian cause, and its call for ending the occupation, supporting the sovereignty of the Palestinian people over all Palestinian territories which have been occupied since June 1967, establishing the independent Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, ensuring the rights of refugees based on the Arab peace initiative and international legitimacy resolutions, in addition to doubling the international community's conflict resolution efforts to fulfill all legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
