The men's tennis tournament will kick start at Doha's Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Monday, Feb. 19, and will run until Feb. 24.

Excluded from the 1st round are the tournament's top four players: Russian Andrey Rublev, ranked 1st in the tournament and 5th internationally, Russian Karen Khachanov, ranked 2nd in the tournament and 17th internationally, Frenchman Ugo Humbert, ranked 3rd in the tournament and 18th internationally, and Kazakh Alexander Bublik, ranked 4th in the tournament and 23rd internationally.

Among the first round's most prominent matches will be that of UK Andy Murray, formerly ranked 1st globally facing a player from the qualifiers, in addition to Frenchman Gael Monfils, ranked 70th globally, facing off Dutchman Botic van De Zandschulp.

Last year's champion, Russian Daniil Medvedev won the title after defeating UK Andy Murray 6-4, 6-4.
